Ways you can get involved

There are lots of ways for you to get involved in our work to prevent and tackle homophobic bullying:

Find out what some of Stonewall's partners are doing to mark the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. School Champions logo

  • Tell a school about the School Champions programme which provides tailored support in challenging homophobic bullying and celebrating difference.

  • Become a friend of Stonewall and support our work in preventing and tackling homophobic bullying from £ 5 a month . 

  • Show your support for equal marriage by responding to the Government's consultation. Find out more at www.stonewall.org.uk/marriage.

  • Write to your former school, your child’s school or your local school and ask them what they are doing to celebrate difference and different families.
    Download our model letter for primary schools and secondary schools.

  • Submit a video as part of our ‘It gets better…today’ campaign. Just upload it to YouTube and send the link to itgetsbettertoday@stonewall.org.uk

  • Become a school governor at your local school and play a vital role in setting school policy. Find out more about how you could become a school governor.

  • Order resources for free from our website and create a Some People Are Gay or Different Families display in your school.

  • Wear your own 'Some People Are Gay. Get Over It!' t-shirt. All funds go towards our Education for All campaign.
