The Equality Act 2010 offers all employees including lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people protection in the workplace from discrimination, harassment and victimisation at work. These rules apply to any employees who are perceived to be lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans or experiences discrimination because they associate with LGBT people.

These rules apply to all employers, regardless of the number of staff they employ or the amount of money they make.

These rules apply in all stages of employment from interview to termination of employment.
