Become an American Friend of Stonewall

Stonewall is Britain's national charity for gay, lesbian and bi-sexual equality with offices in England, Scotland and Wales. Our track record includes taking the British military to court to allow gay men and lesbians to openly serve in the armed forces without fear of being discharged, securing adoption rights for same-sex couples and most recently winning civil partnership (with all the same rights and responsibilities as marriage) for same sex couples. One of our largest projects at present is addressing homophobia and homophobic bullying in schools across the U.K.

As you work for similar rights in the U.S. you can point to our success on this side of the Atlantic! The New York Times and Fox News both reported on our collaborative work with the Royal Navy to recruit and retain gay men and lesbians.

Are you a U.S. taxpayer?  If so, you can make a U.S. tax-deductible donation to the American Fund for Charities, a U.S. (501)(c)(3) that is supporting us.

To join our American Friends of Stonewall, we ask for a minimum annual donation of $90. In return we'll send you a Stonewall lapel pin to wear with pride, two newsletters and our annual report throughout the year to update you on our work in the U.K.

You can join our American Closefriends of Stonewall by giving a minimum annual donation of $180 per year. In addition to the benefits mentioned above, you'll be among the first to hear of Stonewall events. You can feel proud to know you're making a bigger contribution to global social change. And you'll all be welcome to stop by our office for a cup of tea should you ever find yourself in London!

To ensure you receive your tax deduction, please make your cheque payable to The American Fund for Charities, in U.S. Dollars, and suggest that Stonewall be the beneficiary of your grant. Don't forget to use enough postage for international air mail to the U.K.!
