Workshop - Understanding and reflecting the experiences of LGBTQ+ people with disabilities

International Day of People with Disabilites is an important date in December. Use it is an opportunity to understand and reflect on the experiences of LGBTQ+ people with disabilities.

There remains a distinct lack of understanding about the experiences of people who are both LGBTQ+ and disabled. This means that many workplaces are not accessible to or cannot retain talented people and create space for them to achieve their potential. This session, held on the week of International Day of People with Disabilities will help you better understand the experiences of LBGTQ+ people with disabilities in order to confidently ensure that your work reflects and celebrates the community.

Join us on Thursday 20 January 2022 from 10:30-12:30 for a 2-hour interactive workshop.

By attending this session you will:

  • Learn more about the common experiences of LGBTQ+ people with disabilities
  • Understand more about workplace best practice on LGBTQ+ inclusion
  • Share ideas on how to create workplaces that include and celebrate LGBTQ+ people with disabilities
Who can attend?

This session is perfect for:

  • Members or leaders of an LGBTQ+ Network Group
  • HR and D&I teams
