'When I observe the bold and brave initiatives being advanced by Stonewall, I feel immensely proud to be a Stonewall Ambassador. I am also forever humbled by the strength of personality and character displayed by Stonewall staff. Being an Ambassador is my way of being part of it all.’
Saleem Fazal, Partner, Taylor Wessing LLP, Stonewall Ambassador since 2011
Stonewall Ambassadors are a group of our closest supporters, giving £1,800 a year or more.
Ambassadors are leading the way in changing the world for LGBT people. As an Ambassador, you will be part of a growing group helping Stonewall continue our vital work for acceptance without exception for all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people in the UK and abroad.
How Ambassadors support our crucial work
£1,800 per year could support 720 teachers to tackle bullying, giving them the ability to reach over 140,000 school children and young people.
£5,000 could fund our School Role Models programme for a year, reaching thousands of children with a message of education and acceptance.
'We all know that Stonewall has the ability to make a real difference and its work is not yet complete. What is special about being a Stonewall Ambassador is that you really become part of Stonewall and what it does. You can contribute ideas, energy, as a role model or a leader as well as financially.'
Brie Stevens-Hoare QC, Hardwicke Chambers, Stonewall Ambassador since 2013
In recognition of their generous support, Stonewall Ambassadors are given unique insight into our work via an exclusive newsletter and bi-annual campaign briefings, as well as the opportunity to meet other Ambassadors at key events throughout the year. Ambassadors are also able to support Stonewall’s work through volunteering their time and knowledge to the benefit of the LGBT community.
Going even further, our Top Tier Ambassadors are individuals who donate £5,000 a year or more. Through their benevolent gifts and professional influence, they are a real driving force for Stonewall’s work and mission. Top Tier Ambassadors are involved in our events and campaigns and meet at a special fundraising dinner once a year.
'As a Stonewall Ambassador, I get to support a cause that is as important and relevant today as it was in 1989 when the charity was founded. There are a number of ways I can support Stonewall in my role as an Ambassador, allowing me to engage on a personal level with the vital work the organisation undertakes. The annual programme of events on offer to Ambassadors provides me with a great opportunity to meet and network with fellow supporters. I am extremely proud to be a Stonewall Ambassador and to be involved with creating a positive, lasting change for lesbian, gay, bi and trans people both in Britain and abroad.'
Fameed Khalique, Entrepreneur, Stonewall Ambassador since 2003
