It’s our birthday and we’re turning 30! Schools and colleges play a very important role in Stonewall’s history: we were founded to campaign for the repeal of Section 28.
Our 30th birthday is a time to celebrate but it’s also a time to reflect on what’s next in our journey towards acceptance without exception. Use this assembly to help you reflect on how things have changed for LGBT people in the last 30 years. This assembly is aimed specifically at special schools, however you may also find the primary school and secondary school resources useful. Please feel free to adapt the resources to meet your students' needs.
We've got a resource list to support your multi-sensory assembly - download it here.
