What you can do
A colourful illustration of four LGBTQ+ young people sitting in a living room and chatting. They have different gender expressions. One of them has their backpack next to the couch, and seems to have taken refuge within the group in a safe space.

Homelessness support

Taking the next step can be even harder if you’re experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment.

If you're currently homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, use the resources below to find support.

You can access their online community hub or start a live chat on their website.

Stonewall Housing works to ensure LGBTQ+ people live in safer homes, free from fear, and where we can celebrate our identity and support each other to achieve our full potential. You can access free housing advice on their advice line or by completing an online form.

Stand Alone Students

Stand Alone has information and resources for estranged students to help you with your application to higher education or if you are already studying at university. There’s also a list of contacts at universities and colleges who you can reach out to for support.
